Video of Drake at Ella Langley’s concert is making the rounds online, and fans are already buzzing about the Hip-Hop superstar’s latest connection to Country Music.
But while everyone seems to be focused on Drake, we noticed something else in the footage.
Standing right beside him was ERNEST.
For Country fans, that is no small detail.
ERNEST has become one of Nashville’s most successful singer-songwriters, building his own career as an artist while also writing major hits for some of the biggest names in Country Music. He has never been an artist who fits neatly inside one box, which makes seeing him alongside one of the biggest names in Rap even more interesting.
Drake showing up at an Ella Langley show was already enough to get social media talking. Seeing him hanging with ERNEST adds another layer entirely.
Was it simply two artists enjoying the night? Very possibly. But with Country, Hip-Hop and Rap continuing to collide in increasingly interesting ways, we cannot help but wonder what those conversations looked like.
Everybody may be talking about Drake.
